Glucose and Ketones Test After 1/hr of Eating Six “Low Carb” KETO Foods & Snacks: Applegate, Lily’s, Trader Joe’s & More

In this video, I conduct glucose and ketones BEFORE and AFTER blood tests; I chose 1 hour because I always become physically tired after 1 hour of eating blood sugar-spiking foods. However, I do not feel physically tired after eating these foods, even though my glucose and ketones results changed (see actual test result numbers below:)

I ate about 900 combined calories of the foods and snacks listed below. I also included direct links to the exact products for precision reference:

*Lily’s pumpkin chocolate chips: https://amzn.to/3Py9SkN
*Trader Joe’s macadamia nuts: https://amzn.to/4815To0
*Kingdom organic aged cheddar cheese: https://kingdomcheddar.com/
*Skinny dipped peanut butter cups: https://amzn.to/3YZEJcY
*Applegate uncured salami: https://amzn.to/3R2nNAD
*Wilderness Poets Macadamia butter: https://amzn.to/3sFD4x9
*KetoMojo Ketone and glucose testing device and app: https://amzn.to/44HY9Ed

The BEFORE and AFTER test results:

Glucose/Keytones 12 hours (short fast) BEFORE:
Glucose: 71 mg/dl
Keytones: 2.7 mmo/L

Glucose/Keytones 1 hour AFTER meal:
Glucose: 98 mg/dl
Keytones: 0.9 mmo/L

Why did I do this test?

I am interested in the effects of low-carb foods on blood sugar and ketone levels. I have been following a low-carb lifestyle for a while and have noticed some positive changes in my health, such as weight loss and improved energy levels. I am curious to see how eating these low-carb foods will affect my blood sugar and ketone levels.

What are the expected results of this test?

I initially expected my blood sugar levels to be similar after eating these low-carb foods. This is because low-carb foods do not cause a spike in blood sugar levels like high-carb foods. I also expected my ketone levels to be similar after eating these foods.

What are the implications of these results?

The results of this test suggest that low-carb foods can help maintain blood sugar and ketone levels. This could be important for people with diabetes or other conditions that affect blood sugar levels. According to some doctors, low-carb foods can also help people to lose weight and improve their overall health.

Additional information

If you are considering following a low-carb diet, it is important to talk to your doctor first. Low-carb diets can be effective for some people, but they might not be suitable for everyone.

There are many different types of low-carb diets. Some are more restrictive than others.

When following a lifestyle change that includes diet, it is important to make sure that you are getting enough nutrients.
